This is for students students who wish to choreograph a solo for themselves or put together a small group. Ms. T will be out of town during the event and cannot be part.
Palmetto State Arts Education is pleased to present Rising Stars Piccolo Spoleto 2018. In its 10th year, the six-program series presents artistically gifted students ages 9 through 18. The goal of the Rising Stars series is to provide a high profile performance venue that focuses on the many artistically gifted students. Each performance features five to seven individuals or ensembles that are gifted in classical dance, creative writing, classical music, theatre, or visual art.
The goal of Rising Stars Piccolo Spoleto is to provide artistically talented youth of the US Southeast (SC, NC, GA, TN, AL, MS, and FL) with a high profile performance venue that recognizes their exceptional artistic talent. The programs will be presented on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during the 2018 Spoleto USA/Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, South Carolina, being held from May 28th through June 8th. Each of the six Rising Stars programs will feature five to seven young artists and/or ensembles in a conversation and performance format. The programs will receive special recognition and be listed in the Festival program. All the programs are presented at St. Matthew’s Auditorium, which is located at 1 Vanderhorst Street in the heart of downtown Charleston across from Marion Square.
